Genuitec, LLC, announced today the production release of MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench 7.0.  The new release, built upon Eclipse 3.4.1/Ganymede, delivers the most comprehensive environment for Ajax and Web Services in the Eclipse space.

My developments activities are high productivity and the all things are great, mostly about integration of features.

MyEclipse is the addition to Eclipse to make yourself productive, i've been using it now for over 5 years and it works like a charm! Especially the debugging features for application servers is my personal favorite. Other things like specialised editors for various content types are very convinient, they make life much easier with the checks they perform or the hints (like code completion) they give.

The product is cheap compared to it's competitors en it gives a lot of functionality. I use it for web development on several different application servers and plugin development.

I don't have to spend valuable time hunting down plugins and I can discover new features/plugins as I use MyEclipse.

Deploying an exploded app to the built in Tomcat server means I can edit web resources like JSP files and let MyEclipse automatically update the deployed image for me, saving lots of time and hassle.

I started using MyEclipse when it was priced at $29.99 and now it has become more expensive and different price for kind of people. Also it has become heavy weight. No doubt it has handful of feature but when it comes to usage we will not use all at one. There is no way that we can disable and make it light weight.

To get out of the frustration some time I come out of Myeclipse and use simple plain eclipse and with few plug-ins. all for free.

I worked with MyEclipse since last year, extremely good experience, support for Hibernate and Spring were awesome and also for Web Services was quite good.

 I have used some other heavy IDEs before, but those weren't as fast as MyEclipse not to mentions it offers a lot of plugins and its really good.

You can actually turn off everything you don't want to use (or load) under the Window > Prefs > General > Capabilities > Advanced menu.

In addition to that the ME team is working on a more lightweight modularized version of the IDE going forward where folks can assemble the pieces they want.

MyEclipse is a very cheap (if not the cheapest) ide but it provides all the features needed to any Java developer. Therefore, any Java developer has reasons to go for MyEclipse even though Eclipse is freely available.

 In furure I would like to see Grails and Groovy support and good PHP support in you features list.

I like myeclipse very much. The most interesting feature i like is the server deployment. Here you can configure any type of web server and deploy your application. This is very useful and more productive.

 I like the current version of my eclipse because it has the support for REST. Now the world goes along with REST. So defnitley this will attract more people.

Good tool for Java developer, either beginner or expert level. If you own this tool , you can focus on your work instead of wasting time to find plugins again and again, and all you wanted is included.

A logic evolution of a free ecosysteem! Its a nice though heavy weight  solution for plugin hell.

Just a quick post, to be honest to enter the lotery.

But we've used myeclipse for Websphere development and it helped us way more than RSA from IBM(without ejb's). It allowes us easier cross platform compability . We're looking forward to the blue edition.

I've been using MyEclipse for 4 years now and it has became indispensable for my job.

 Maybe it is now too  bloated (4 times the size of Eclipse) !!

I have been using WSAD for 3 years , recently I have started looking for alternative IDE and tried the trial version of MyEclipse for some time. It is really a wonderfull , worthwhile choice with decent price TAG. It provides straightforward development environment for various technologies Spring , Hibernate , JSF , Ajax etc all at same place without looking around for anything. Also I appriciate WebShpere suport. Its going to be be next choice for development.
