I see interest in JavaFx hovering between 0% and 1%, so Sun better get real really soon and put its focus back in Java which everyone already knows and wants to keep developing in.

That's really cool. I can't wait to really see how this will translate in a real app. Kudos for Sun for this move. I hope too that they will give Swing the ability to play videos as is the case in JavaFX. Does anyone know if the new video codecs are written in Java or C?

I'm not sure about the answer there Jacek - but I would also be quite disappointed if it's limited to JavaFX - that would be like Sun turning their back on the core Java desktop developers.

Does anyone have any information on this?

Can you use the vide capabilities in pure Java? Or is it limited to JavaFX only?

I hope Sun is not shortsighted enough to believe in this JavaFX hype they've created and is abandoning enhancing the core Java platform.
