Survey: What Would You Like to See in a Platform-as-a-Service Comparison?

  • submit to reddit

DZone's Cloud Zone has been growing by leaps and bounds in the last couple of months, so we want to gauge the community's interest in the various and sundry aspects of the sometimes cloudy topic of cloud computing.  More specificially, DZone is interested in your thoughts on what would be interesting to see in a PaaS-comparison guide.  The survey linked bolow is only four questions long (only one of which requires actual writing!), and the results should give us a better idea of what the DZone community would like to read more about in the Cloud Zone.  We're pumped to read what you think.

You may have a slight misunderstanding of how objects work when you say "parent's object is created".

There is no parent object. When you do "new SubClass()" only one object is created. Under the covers, in the Sun/Oracle JVM, an object has an object header, followed by fields declared in the object and its superclasses. On a 32-bit JVM, the object header is eight bytes. Since you declare no fields in either Base or SubClass, that is the full total size of the object.

I want to take the survey after I bought black silk bolero in my favorite dress shop. I just tried it but it  was disabled and I think maybe this survey includes dresses like blue mermaid dress which was made from expensive materials.

Very interesting blog. Alot of blogs I see these days don't really provide anything that I'm interested in, but I'm most definately interested in this one. Just thought that I would post and let you know.
