Salvatore Sanfilippo, creator of Redis, announced on Friday the release of Redis 2.8.0. Sanfilippo posted his announcement to the Redis DB Google group, along with a description of the new features in the 2.8.0 release, and some supporting information. New features include:

  • Partial resynchronization with slaves
  • SCAN / HSCAN / ZSCAN / SSCAN
  • CONFIG REWRITE
  • IPv6 Support
  • Scripting improvements
  • An improved key expiring algorithm
