Doing a little bit of asynchronous programming in the browser isn't all that difficult, but tackling it with Node.js on the server may be a very steep learning curve. This presentation at Web Directions 2013 by Marc Fasel will explore the asynchronous features of Node.js, describes code patterns for asynchronous applications, and shows how asynchronous libraries can be leveraged to build maintainable and scalable Node.js applications.
