The latest Gartner study puts the total amount of compute resources used by Amazon Web Services customers at a number five times greater than 14 other cloud venders combined!  And they've done this while spending less than Google and Microsoft.  Specifically the vendors are:

  1. Terremark
  2. Savvis
  3. CSC
  4. Dimension Data
  5. Rackspace
  6. Tier 3
  7. Virtustream
  8. Joyent
  9. Bluelock
  10. GoGrid
  11. SoftLayer
  12. OVH
  13. Fujitsu
  14. Dell

Although, there's a glaring omission in Garner's report (one of several reasons why their "Magic Quadrants" are mostly useless IMO).  Microsoft's Windows Azure is missing, and I bet their total deployments, given its popularity in the .NET community, are nothing to sneeze at.
