yEd 3.6.1 - free graph editor
yWorks, a leading provider of diagramming components for Java, Adobe Flex and .NET applications, today updated their popular free product yEd. yEd is a powerful diagram editor that can be used to quickly create diagrams manually or import external data for analysis and auto-magically arrange even large data sets by just pressing a button.
Major new features:
- New support for auto-rotating edge labels that can stay parallel to their corresponding edge segment, even in a dynamic scenario where the slope of the edge segment changes.
- A new bus-style edge routing algorithm can be used to combine the edges in parts of a diagram where each node is connected to each other node.
- Local views can be turned into documents of their own.
Use yEd to quickly create flow charts, BPMN and UML diagrams, organization charts, mind maps, and many other kinds of diagrams, graphs, and networks. Choose from a wide range of highly sophisticated layout algorithms to automatically arrange diagrams in no time. An intuitive and visually appealing user interface makes creating diagrams fun. Once a diagram has been created, it's easy to save, print, or export it to popular formats like PDF, SWF, EMF, SVG, JPEG, GIF, PNG, or HTML image maps.
yEd is a free product available for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. The software can be directly launched or downloaded from the yEd home page http://www.yworks.com/yed.
