New Java Library to Monitor File System Events
TeamDev has recently announced the commercial release of JxFileWatcher.
JxFileWatcher is a cross-platform library that provides convenient Java API for monitoring file system events: file or directory creation, modification and removal events. It is available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X platforms and supports both 32 and 64-bit versions.
• Basic File Operations
Watch for creation, renaming or removal of files and subfolders within the specified folder.
You will be able to receive notifications about events when access or modification date is changed.
• Watch Properties Change
Be notified about any changes to file size and attributes. These are System, Hidden, Read only and Archived attributes for Windows platform, and Read, Write and Execute attributes for Linux and Mac.
• Limit Watching Scope
You can watch for all file events or just for specified by the event and file filters. Watching for files in the selected folder you can include all its subfolders into the watching scope or limit this scope to the selected folder excluding its subfolders.
• Support for Different File Systems
JxFileWatcher supports different file system types and always uses the best algorithm for monitoring file system events in a specified watching directory.
