Magnolia CMS 4.5, the latest release of open source Magnolia CMS, is designed to help enterprises develop their virtual presence. New functionality includes instant mobile websites for smartphones and tablets, multichannel content targeting along with an enhanced page editing user interface as well as increased standards support and interoperability through CMIS.

With Magnolia CMS 4.5, all conventional websites built with Magnolia’s latest Standard Templating Kit (STK) can be used to create mobile websites, which are automatically optimized to smartphone and tablet formats. Content authors can optimize the look and feel of content for mobile site visitors, using an innovative preview feature that creates an onscreen mock-up of the relevant mobile device on the user’s desktop.

Magnolia CMS 4.5 also includes a number of other new features, including improved front-end inline editing, resulting in a more intuitive user experience, CMIS interoperability with MS Sharepoint, Alfresco, Photoshop, SAP, Oracle and others, and HTML5 support.
