It gives me great pleasure to announce that LucidWorks Enterprise 2.0 is now available now for download. The platform that accelerates and simplifies search application development has taken a big step forward.

We're excited about this release. It adds many new Lucene/Solr 4.x features, like near real time search, distributed indexing and faster fuzzy queries, plus a long list of enhancements from the team here at Lucid Imagination.

We have improved the whole admin experience too, with simplified installation and a new UI to support common administrative tasks, including configuration of crawlers and index fields, user management, and user experience options. We added built-in log search and indexing tools, plus standardized monitoring interfaces so you can plug into your existing operating environment and upgrade tools to streamline the move from LucidWorks Enterprise 1.8 or 1.7.

Now, you get even more built in data connectors, with Hadoop HDFS and Amazon EC2 S3 joining Sharepoint CMS, file systems, databases and web data on the list of supported data sources. There is even an open connector framework so you can extend the platform to any other sources you need to reach.

The best way to understand all of the new functionality in LucidWorks 2.0 is to download it, install it, and start searching.

Don't forget the other resources available to help you with your search projects powered by the LucidWorks search platform:
