JavaOne Call For Papers!
JavaOne will return to San Francisco September 19-23, 2010.
We look forward to the best JavaOne conference ever. We are pleased to open this call for papers and welcome compelling submissions from across the Java community. We expect JavaOne 2010 to surpass its well-established reputation as one of the most valuable and informative weeks of technical education, debate, and exchange of the year.
This year, the conference curriculum is going back to its roots -- 100% Java technology and the related ecosystems. So share your knowledge and expertise as a JavaOne speaker.
To submit a paper, we suggest that you first read the CRITERIA for submissions. When you are ready to submit, click on Submit Paper, or, if you have already logged in, click on the "My Submitted Papers" in the log-in box.
From your submissions, an experienced team of reviewers from the developer community will select content that offers attendees an extensive and original educational program with practical training and interactive sessions led by experts.
Attendees typically have intermediate-to-advanced Java programming skills. Our attendee surveys have indicated most of them want talks that deepen their practical knowledge, including best practices and solutions. The most popular talks are rich in technical detail, and usually include best practices, proven solutions, code samples, and/or demos that show how to apply Java technology to real-world projects. This year, we are particularly looking for interesting end-to-end application and integration use cases.
Speakers make the difference in the quality of the attendee's experience. Every year we receive feedback from attendees that we should take extra steps to ensure that conference speakers are experienced and good at presenting talks.
Our priorities in selecting speakers are:
- Subject matter expertise
- Solid speaking ability and experience
During the selection process, the JavaOne content review team may contact you by telephone or email to ask you for more information about your submitted abstract and your previous speaking experience.
We welcome submissions from international developers. The official language of the conference is English, and we expect speakers to be fluent and easily understood when presenting in English. For those speakers who may have doubts about their fluency or pronunciation, or for anyone who is not comfortable presenting to a live audience for any reason, consider teaming up with a colleague who can confidently present the talk for/with you.
The 2010 JavaOne Call for Papers is open from February 10 through 11:59 pm PDT March 14.
