Endeavour Software Project Management Beta 1.0 Released
Endeavour Software Project Management is an Open Source
solution to manage the creation of large-scale enterprise systems in an
iterative and incremental development process. It features support for
Use Case management, Iterations, Project Plan, Change Requests, Defect
Tracking, Test Cases, Tasks, Document management, Reports and many
other process artifacts by leveraging the power of a robust rich client
web based application in an easy to install and intuitive solution with
cross-browser compatibility.
This version represents a great
milestone in our efforts since it is feature complete and it positions
us a few steps away from releasing the first GA version targeted before
the end of this year. We'd like to encourage everyone who's been
following this project since its inception to download the latest
version and send us evaluation contributions and features requests
through our project forums available at:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/endeavour-mgmt/forums
New features in Beta 1.0 include:
- Project Wiki integration errors fixed.
- Security Group module implemented allowing granular configuration access to features based on privilege settings.
- Search criteria fields implemented in Use Case, Defects, Change Requests and Task listing views.
- Over 150 issues were fixed and the system is much more stable than the previous version.
In
all we've put a lot of effort in creating a software project management
solution that provides a great tool for collaboration among project
stakeholders, makes project monitoring easier for project managers and
that is intuitive, fast and easy to install.
