MathML Support in Oxygen XML

MathFlow Editor now works with Oxygen XML Editor and Oxygen XML Author 11.

Design Science and Syncro Soft today announced that the newly released Oxygen XML Editor and Oxygen XML Author 11 have been designed to support MathML editing with Design Science's three MathFlow equation editors: Structure, Style and Simple. This combines Oxygen's powerful XML editing and development platform with MathFlow's industry standard MathML editing technology. MathML is the XML standard for representing mathematical notation and is a crucial component of technical publishing workflows, content managed websites, accessibility and education applications.

MathML equations are rendered in the Author mode. The equations can be edited with the <oXygen/> builtin MathML editor or with the more complex and powerful MathFlow editor from Design Science.

The MathFlow editor is presented when you have a licensed installation of the MathFlowSDK on your computer and configured in oXygen. The Structure Editor targets professional XML workflow users. Such users need fine control over visual presentation, as well as its underlying MathML structure. It is the best choice for demanding publishing workflow applications. The Style Editor is tailored to the needs of content authors, while the Simple Editor is designed for applications where end-users can enter mathematical equations without prior training, and only the meaning of the math matters.
